Dutch tactician Martin Koopman has had the shortest spell at Hearts of Oak since Kosta Papic.

The former Aruba national team coach, 67, was sacked by the Rainbow club on Tuesday following the club's unimpressive start to the 2023/24 campaign.

Hearts, 21-time Ghana Premier League winners, sit 11th on the 18-club league table with 12 points after winning just 2 of their 10 league games.

He amassed 1.20 points per game for the club which is still less than Kosta Papic's 1.45 points per game.

Serbian Slavko Matic, 1.75 points per game,  has the highest point accumulation among all recent coaches who have handled the club.

Though the club boost of the strongest defence in the league (together with Nsoatreman - 6 goals conceded), the former African champions also have the weakest attack in the league (together with bottom-placed Heart of Lions) as they have scored just 6 goals from 10 games.

The club's hierarchy decided to part ways with the Dutchman after drawing his last 3 games and scoring just 1 goal.

His spell at the club last just 92 days. Koopman was officially appointed on August 15 and fired on November 14, 2023.

Papic, who was appointed on November 30, 2020 left the club on February 16, 2021. He played 11 games in 78 days and left.
