Amaju Pinnick has left Ghana

FIFA Executive Council member, Amaju Pinnick, has abandoned his so-called role of supervising the Ghana Football Association General Election and sneaked out of Ghana as tension mounts in the West African nation.

A report carried out by a pro-Kurt Okraku website, Ghana Soccer Net, claimed that the former Nigeria Football Federation President had arrived in Ghana to supervise Thursday's elective congress which has been slapped with an Interlocutory Injunction.

Afraid of the international consequences of his actions, the former Nigeria Football Federation has quietly chickened out of Ghana and won't return to play any role in the elections.

Pinnick could be cited for contempt by the supreme laws of Ghana if he participates in the elections.

As a result, he has left the shores of the country for his native Nigeria.

George Afriyie, a former Vice President of the Ghana FA, who strongly feels that he was wrongly disqualified from contesting in the Presidential elections has placed an interlocutory injunction on the elections.

The legal counsel representing the former CAF AFCON Organising Committee member has served notice of the application of the injunction to the Ghana Police Service, the Electoral Commission of Ghana, and most importantly officials of the Ghana Football Association.

Meanwhile, the pressure group which is known as Ghana Football Stakeholders Forum has scheduled a mammoth demonstration on Wednesday against the leadership of the Ghana FA.
