Ghanaian offensive midfielder Bernard Mensah stepped up his fight to catch up with Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League goal-king chart as he netted a brace on Friday.

The 29-year-old former Getafe midfielder scored from the spot in the 45th minute and had a goal ruled out for offside in the 60th minute.

However, he grabbed his second goal in stoppage time with another spot kick before assisting Dutch international Virgil Misidjan to score the winner in the 100th minute.

Mensah has scored 8 goals and provided an assist. However, his 8 strikes are 7 goals shy of Cristiano Ronaldo has also provided 7 assists.

The former WAFA player has scored the same number of goals as scored by Karim Benzema and Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca.
