Hundreds of Ghanaian football fans organise mammoth demonstration against Kurt Okraku

Hundreds of Ghanaian football fans took to the streets of Accra to demonstrate the Ghana Football Association led by Kurt Okraku.

The demonstrators numbering over 500 displayed numerous placards which had many messages against the GFA President whose tenure ends on October 25, 2023.

Some members of the group feel that state funds were misappropriated during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and other international assignments involving Ghana's national teams.

The group, led by musicians Nicholas Omana Acheampong and Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong together with celebrated nationalist Abraham Boakye, is furious with the leadership style of Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku.

The demonstrators marched to the premises of the Ministry of Youth and Sports where they presented their petition to the Minister of Youth and Sports. Meanwhile, the Chief Accountant of the Ministry of Youth and Sports received the petition on behalf of the Minister who was not in the office.
