EXCLUSIVE: Former Black Stars coach CK Akonnor appointed head coach of Ghana league side
The 49-year-old had been out of a managerial role since leaving his role as Ghana's head coach in September 2021.

Former Ghana head coach Charles Akonnor has returned to active coaching as he has taken charge of Division One League side Accra Athletic Football Club.
Akonnor, 49, has been absent from the coaching scene since losing his job as Black Stars head coach in September 2021.
The former VfL Wolfsburg offensive midfielder has been leading the club in their pre-season campaign and was in charge of the Accra-based club as they played against Susubiribi Sporting Club in Akyem Old Tafo.
Since turning to the dugout in 2009, the German-trained tactician has managed Sekondi XI Wise, Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC, AshantiGold, Asante Kotoko, and the Black Stars.
